The first baby gorilla to be born at San Francisco Zoo in a decade is being tended by veterinary staff.
Mother Monifa gave birth to the male on Monday but left the gorilla unattended, and avoided eye contact.
A veterinary team has stepped in to ensure the young gorilla, which is yet to be named, receives all the care he needs.
